Rachel Emily Nichols

Rachel Emily Nichols was born in Augusta, Maine, the daughter of Alison and James Nichols, a schoolteacher. She is of French Canadian, German and Irish descent. She attended and completed her studies at Cony High School in Augusta which was where she participated in the high jump. Columbia University in New York City was where she earned an honors degree in economics and math. She began modeling, and launched an impressive career in modeling, being employed by prominent companies like Guess?, Abercrombie & Fitch or L'Oreal. Rachel made the transition to acting when she was offered a role on the HBO comedy Sex and the City (1998). Her film debut came as Jessica Matthews in Dumb and Dumberer: How Harry Met Lloyd (2003). She continued to be successful with performances in projects such as The Amityville Horror (2005), The Inside (2005), Alias (2001), G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009), Criminal Minds (2005) (a recurring part in the role of FBI Agent Ashley Seaver) and Conan the Barbarian (2011). She played the lead role of police officer Kiera Cameron in the science fiction drama Continuum (2012).Attended and graduated from Columbia University with a double major in economics and math. Modelled for Guess?, Abercrombie & Fitch, L'Oreal and Nicole Miller. She was the restaurant hostess for Sex and the City, the first part for which she auditioned.
